Include any relevant context (where you're from, what you're working on outside of the program, etc.)
I journal BIG time! I also do a lot of notes on my white board and chalkboards. In addition, I have several blog sites to document information, education, and my grad journey.
In your introduction please also tell me a little about the following: How do you document/archive your work, ideas, daydreams, etc.? (Scribbles, journals, drawings, video, audio, etc.) How (if at all) do you use your documentation/archives? (...for personal review, for grant/application/essay language, etc.) Do you have a Wordpress (or other digital environment) for storing your work? I'm aware that Dr. Anderson required a blog/site and I plan to follow that model, however I want to hear about your experiences and personal style. For example: I journal but rarely consult my journal (it is a movement/writing practice); I draw my body/movement and this becomes a fluid archive; I scribble a lot of notes in my working process but use them only informally. I want the documentation aspects of the course to serve you and your unique style of organizing your work, while at the same time encouraging enough structure to make future use of your work-product as stress free as possible.
I love to dream and I am so excited to continue on with my dreaming and passions with my grad journey. I'm excited to have you as a new professor!
Also feel free to "dream on the page" a little about what you imagine you're going to work on in your thesis essay (noting that this group is comprised of both first and second year students).
